Congratulations again to the Long Neck staff, students, and parents.  We just found out on October 22, 2007 that Long Neck Elementary is now a National Distinguished Title I School.  Long Neck has garnished two State awards and two National awards as well as a superior rating for the last five years in a row!   Our goal is to continue this success for every one of our children.  They are the future!

We would also like to congratulate Mrs. Jeanine Moore.  As the District Teacher of the Year she has been provided a brand new car to use this year.  This is courtesy of 1st State Chevrolet.  It is a 2008 HHR model and it only had 14 miles on it when Mrs. Moore picked it up last week.  (October 22, 2007)  It is beautiful!

Once again, I want to acknowledge ‘all’ the hard work of parents, students and the VERY dedicated staff here at Long Neck.

We continue to have lots to be proud of at Long Neck Elementary.  Thank you for visiting our web page.  We have many exciting programs and events throughout the year.  So visit this page often to stay informed, see photos, and read all about what we have to offer our students.  Thank you for such a great partnership!!!  I am very proud of our school and I hope you visit our web site often.

Assistant Principal

Dr. Suzanne Tiemann

We are looking forward to another wonderful year at Long Neck. Long Neck is truly a wonderful learning community. We are recognized as a Nation Blue Ribbon School and state of Delaware Distinguished Title I School. As Assistant Principal of Long Neck Elementary, I am enthusiastic to be working very closely with our dedicated teachers and staff members; hard working students; and supportive parents and community members. Recently, we partnered with the Delaware’s Center for the Inland Bay and received an outdoor wetland to support our environmental curriculum and efforts. Our staff is committed to providing all students with a quality education in a warm, nurturing atmosphere. I embrace the incredible minds of Long Neck Elementary.
